Modern Treatments
We use state-of-the-art medical technology, from compression minimally-invasive treatments for varicose veins and spider veins, compression socks and stockings, modern laser treatments for appearance medicine, to complex arterial and venous therapies.

Meet the Team
Specialists
Richard Evans
Richard specialises in minimally invasive varicose veins treatments and arterial conditions, which include aneurysms and arterial blockages.
He is a highly regarded vascular, endovascular, and transplant surgeon. With over 25 years of surgical experience, Richard has a private practice as well as working for Te Whatu Ora.
He holds a Diploma in Diagnostic Ultrasound (Vascular), a qualification allowing independent vascular ultrasound scanning and reporting.
In his spare time, Richard loves spending time in the great outdoors.
Anthony Harris
Anthony completed his medical degree at the University of Otago. He trained as a radiologist in Wellington, prior to completing specialist Interventional Radiology training in Brisbane. An interventional radiologist is an expert in using medical imaging to guide minimally invasive procedures.
He currently works at Wellington Regional Hospital and Wakefield Hospital, performing vascular procedures treating abnormal arteries and veins. He has a special interest in minimally invasive techniques to treat aneurysms, abnormal veins and tumors.
In his spare time Anthony enjoys mountain biking, trail running and spending time with his young family.
Specialist Nurses
Melissa Chan
As Practice Manager, Melissa has overall responsibility for ensuring the smooth running of the practice, including leading and managing our team of nurses and administrators, as well as overseeing all business functions.
“I especially enjoy working in the small team at REV where a high patient focus and their satisfaction is important.”
Melissa is a registered nurse having gained experience in operating theatres across many specialties, including coordinating the acute out-of-hours service at Wellington Hospital and as vascular theatre charge nurse.
Outside of work Melissa enjoys family time, outdoor activity and baking.
Kendall Brooks
Kendall, a registered nurse who qualified from Massey University, joined us in June 2021. She spent her early nursing working in cardiothoracic and vascular specialities in Christchurch Hospital.
Kendall assists in varicose vein procedure lists and clinics, pelvic varicose veins, as well as compression stocking fittings.

Outside of work she enjoys spending time with family and friends, baking and playing sport.
Ashleigh Robinson
Ashleigh graduated from Massey University in 2016. Her nursing career took her to general surgical and vascular wards, as well as the intensive care unit at Wellington Hospital.
Ashleigh is now a senior nurse at Richard Evans Vascular and works closely with the surgeon assisting in varicose vein treatments.
Ashleigh enjoys spending time with family and friends and is a keen swimmer, often doing lengths in the local pool.
Clare Odell
Clare’s 20-year career ranges from perioperative nursing, acute pain management and community vaccination. She is the Vascular Access & IV-related therapies Clinical Nurse Specialist at Wellington Hospital.
At REV, Clare inserts Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters (PICCs) for patients receiving treatment at the Bowen Cancer Centre.
In her spare time, Clare works as a movie stunt/body double or enjoys the outdoors with her family.

Robyn Sclater
Robyn Sclater, an experienced appearance medicine nurse, has recently joined Laser Aesthetics. With over 28 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse and having had her own aesthetics businesses, including the Caci Clinic Oriental Bay, Wellington and Robyn Sclater Appearance Medicine, you can be assured you’re in good hands.
Robyn has a warm, approachable manner with a dedication to achieving natural, tailored results. Each treatment is carefully planned and delivered, ensuring clients enjoy outcomes that enhance their unique features without looking overdone.
Sonographers
Sheree Tufuga
Sheree has over 20 years’ experience in the healthcare sector, beginning her career in emergency medicine in 1997. She transitioned into medical imaging and completed her BAppSci (MIT) in 2008, followed by a Diploma of Ultrasonography (DMU) in 2015 with a special interest in vascular ultrasound.
Based in Palmerston North, Sheree also performs ultrasounds for REV at Kapiti Day Hospital and Five Rivers Medical in Greytown.

Darshna Govind
Darshna trained as a Specialist Vascular Sonographer at Dunedin Hospital, completing the DMUvasc. She has over 10 years of specialist vascular experience working in hospitals across New Zealand and the United Kingdom as a clinical vascular scientist.
Returning to New Zealand in 2021, Darshna has continued her ultrasound education, working towards a general ultrasound qualification to broaden her scope.
Outside of work, Darshna enjoys the outdoors, running, playing hockey and spending time with friends and family.
Laura Trott
Laura is a sonographer at REV, supporting the vascular ultrasound service across clinic locations.
Clinic Nurses
Justine Gilligan
Justine comes from a varied surgical background including cardiac and vascular, interventional radiology and oncology nursing. She previously worked for Richard Evans Vascular in Wellington and has rejoined the team in the Hastings clinic.
Having moved to Hawke’s Bay, Justine enjoys the balmy climate, walking Te Mata Peak and attending local gym classes. Outside of work she enjoys time with family and friends and travelling with her children.

Kelly is a clinic nurse at REV, supporting patient care and procedural clinics.
Kiara Horscroft
Kiara Horscroft works as a clinic nurse, supporting procedures and patient journeys across REV clinics.
Deb Jones
Deb is a clinic nurse at REV, contributing to patient care and clinic support.
Blair Wilson
Business ManagerBlair grew up in Whanganui and moved to Wellington to study law and business. While studying and working full time, he progressed through management roles at McDonald’s before moving into retail leadership at Mitre 10 MEGA Upper Hutt and later GM at MEGA Petone.
He completed his MBA at Victoria University and previously worked in the retail team at Z Energy.
Outside of work, Blair enjoys competing in endurance sports events when not busy with his three young children.
Ranie Liua’ana
Business CoordinatorAs the ‘face’ of Richard Evans Vascular, Ranie is often the first person patients come into contact with. With a background in radiology, she understands insurance claims and the importance of timely communication.
As Business Coordinator, Ranie helps keep the practice running smoothly each day.
Outside of work, Ranie enjoys spending time with family and friends and getting outdoors for walks.
Tayla-Sinead Parsloe
Ultrasound CoordinatorWith a strong background in healthcare administration, Tayla is highly organised and detail-oriented, playing a key role in maintaining efficient workflow and supporting high standards of patient care.
Tayla thrives in fast-paced environments where teamwork and precision are essential.
Outside of her professional life, Tayla enjoys socializing with friends, trying different cuisines & the occasional binge watching of her favorite shows.
Tayla is motivated, caring, and driven to continuously grow both personally and within the healthcare field.
Martine Taylor
AccountsMartine is the financial administrator at REV. With a background in bookkeeping and administration, she brings extensive experience in payroll and managing the day-to-day finances of a small business.
Outside of work, Martine enjoys spending time with family and taking her dog on long hikes.
